Terms of service

The service

These terms explain use of Bill & Bind, a service for invoices, quotes, contracts, signatures and related business administration. Contact support@billandbind.com with questions or complaints. You must be authorised to act for the business whose account you manage. Keep account information accurate, use a strong password and give team members only the access they need.

Free and paid plans

Creating an account does not require a payment card. The Free plan has a £50 cumulative invoiced-value allowance, which does not reset monthly, and a £1 one-time AI allowance. Pro is £9.99 per month and Business is £19.99 per month. Check Billing and the payment confirmation for the total, currency and applicable tax treatment before subscribing. Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Creating an account alone does not start a paid subscription. Plan features and limits are shown on the pricing page and in the app.

AI allowances

Pro includes £2 of AI usage per calendar month and Business includes £5, calculated in UTC. Allowances are shared by the account owner’s businesses and team members; they are not separate amounts for each user or business. The Free allowance is lifetime and is not renewed by changing plans or creating another business. Included allowances are service usage allowances, not cash balances. Conservative cost estimates and reservations mean a request may be stopped before the displayed allowance is fully spent. AI pauses when the allowance or verified pricing approval is unavailable; it does not automatically bill an overage. Unused monthly allowance does not carry forward. Optional one-off purchases of £5 provide £5 of additional AI usage allowance with no expiry. Included allowance is used first. Purchased credits are shared by the account owner’s businesses and can also be used on Free. Credits are added only after payment is confirmed; there is no automatic top-up or overage charge. Refunds and payment disputes reduce the purchased balance. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Cancellation and billing questions

You can cancel a paid subscription in Billing. Cancellation stops renewal at the end of the current paid period; it does not itself delete your account. Export records you need before deleting your account and cancel paid subscriptions separately. Contact support promptly about a billing error, refund request or inability to cancel. Refunds and any cooling-off rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law; these terms do not exclude statutory cancellation or refund rights. If you are entitled to cancel under consumer law, you may tell us by email, including your account email and the subscription you wish to cancel.

Your documents and payments

You retain rights to your content and authorise Bill & Bind and its service providers to process it as needed to provide the features you request. You are responsible for permission to upload or share personal information, correct invoice amounts and tax treatment, your customer agreements and compliance with record-keeping duties. Payments are processed through Stripe and may require a connected Stripe account. Stripe’s applicable fees, verification requirements and terms also apply. A successful payment does not guarantee a bank payout time. Bill & Bind is not a party to the transaction between you and your customer.

AI, signatures and reminders

AI output can be inaccurate and is not legal, tax or accounting advice. Review generated material before sending or relying on it. You are responsible for deciding whether an electronic signature is suitable for a particular document. Viewing and email-open indicators are useful signals, not conclusive proof that someone read a document. Review recurring invoice and reminder settings carefully: enabled schedules can create and send documents automatically.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for fraud, unlawful content, unsolicited bulk messages, unauthorised access or attempts to bypass usage limits. Do not upload material you lack permission to use. We may restrict access where reasonably needed to protect the service or others, investigate abuse or comply with law. Contact support if you believe a restriction is mistaken.

Availability and responsibility

We maintain security controls, monitoring and backups, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free AI or protection from every threat. Keep copies of important records and report problems promptly. We will use reasonable care and skill in providing the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or reduces rights you have under applicable consumer or data protection law.

Privacy, changes and support

Read the Privacy notice to understand how information is handled. Material changes to paid pricing or these terms will be communicated before they apply where required; the terms do not authorise unannounced extra charges. For help or a complaint, email support@billandbind.com with your account email and a description of the issue. Do not send passwords or complete payment card details.
